My favorite way to start the day is with a big glass of iced tea with lots of ice and a straw. I found this amazing tea a few years ago in the Passover isle, it is another Passover item that I stock up on to be sure I don't run out. It has a mellow flavor of mango and passion fruit, not at all sweet just flavorful.

I make a teapot full of boiling water and add two tea bags of the Wissotsky's Mango Passion fruit and two bags of Green tea or Mango Green tea and let it steep. Fill a pitcher and chill.

Great Find #3

Vidalia Onion Chopper

This is one of my most used and favorite kitchen gadgets. This chopper makes uniformed cubes small about 1/4" and a little larger about a 1/2". I use this if I have to chop a lot of ingredients, and for messy veggies like tomatoes. It chops a lot, quick and contains the chopped veggies in the holder. Great for onions less tearing time.

When you use this gadget you have to slice your veggies to the same size as the chopping blade you are using, so all four sides of each cube are the same size,. For instance if you are using the 1/2" cube you would want to slice a round or solid veggie  like a tomato, cucumber or onion into 1/2" slices.

There are many brands that make this gadget, I'm sure they all meet the same needs.

Great Finds #1

Pitted Pressed Dates

This is my all time favorite great find. I found it in the Passover isle at Shoprite a couple of years ago, and have been stocking up on it every since then. I have only seen it sold during that time of year, but it is vacuumed sealed and does last if it is unopened. 

I like to serve pressed dates cubed or pulled apart with a sharp cheese on my appetizer tray. I also like to use it to make granola bars, which I will post next.

It is soft, chewy, sweet and delicious.
